My name is Jessica Baldwin. I am currently in 10th grade, and in a Nutrition and Wellness Class which has helped me to become a Pediatric Oncologist. My strengths are responsibility, good listener, persuasive. My abilities are being excellent in math and science, and work with technology. My talents are being a fast typer, very organized, and comfort people in hard times. I have achieved being a cheerleader for 6 years and plan to keep doing it. I pride myself in making good grades and trying to do my best. My goals are to do well in high school, go to college to be a Pediatric Oncologist, graduate medical school at Emory, and then when I retire I would like to travel the world with my family. I plan to achieve these goals by making good grades in high school to get into medical school, after I retire I plan to have enough money from my job over the years to be able to go anywhere I would like to.
I would like to become a Pediatric Oncologist. I love working with children, and even though I don’t like seeing kids sick I know that when I save a kid from losing to cancer it will feel good. It seems interesting because you get to work with kids who are deathly sick. But somehow they push through it and they stay happy through the fight, and that’s what fascinates me. I have good math and science skills, I am very organized and responsible, I can work with technology, listen to anyone that b=needs me to, persuade people when needed, and comfort people which would help the parents of the child that is sick. If I can’t get the exact job I’m looking for I still would like to be an Oncologist even if it’s not for children. I could work at any cancer hospital or business that works with specifically children with cancer. I am a hard- worker, trustworthy, pleasant to work with, a good friend, responsible, very organized, and smart.
I am using an Access database because you must be organized in the medical field and Access helps to stay organized. The sample is an Access database showing information that was put into a table, a form, a report, and a query. I created this sample January 28, 2011, and I learned how to organize information in many different ways. The sample can be found on the productivity page.
I am really ambitious about become a Pediatric Oncologist, and I will work as hard as possible to become one. Another thing you should know about me is that when I want something I don’t give up until I get it. While I was creating this portfolio I learned a lot about myself. I learned that when I work hard I can get results.
